Tracking Your CME with CE Broker

CE Broker Tracker Banner

The LSOM Office of CME is working with CE Broker and our CME software to upload internal CME activities (e.g., Grand Rounds and our LSOM CME-accredited conferences) for our academic UTHSA physicians from January 1, 2026, onward.

We are now uploading individual credits for internal UTHSA CME activities from our tracking system to CE Broker, covering January 2026 through 30 days prior to the present month. Check your CE Broker account for LSOM CME credits.

We encourage you to  if you have not already done so. You can use the free option. An upgraded option is also available for a fee, but it is not required to track your credits.

Please note that our office is uploading credits for internal UTHSA CME activities that occurred after January 1, 2026.  All other activities on your individual transcript that are required for your licensure must be uploaded manually or from another organization participating with CE Broker.

Actions you should take:

  • Create an account in CE Broker, using the above link.
  • Check your CE Broker account for LSOM CME credits. They should be up to date from January 1, 2026, up to 30 days prior to the present month.
  • Upload outside CME (not accredited by our LSOM Office of CME) to CE Broker – if it is needed for your licensure.
  • Upload LSOM CME you earned before January 1, 2026 – if it is needed for your licensure.

As a reminder, refer to this TMB Quick Reference Table to review the CME required for your license renewal.

  • CE Broker Requirements & Compliance Clarification

Do I need to use CE Broker if my license renews before September 1, 2026?

If you are renewing your license prior to September 1, 2026, you will not need your CE Broker account for your current renewal. However, you will need to use CE Broker to track your CME after September 1, 2026.

What actions do I need to take now?

Actions you should take between now and September 1, 2026, include:

    • Create an account in .
    • Upload any CME credits outside of LSOM credits to CE Broker if they are needed for your licensure.
    • Upload LSOM credits you earned before January 1, 2026, if needed for your licensure.
    • Check your CE Broker account for LSOM CME credits earned after January 1, 2026.

What exactly is changing with the new TMB CE Broker requirement?

There is a new to verify CMEs when licenses are renewed. TMB has entered into an agreement with CE Broker for CME reporting. This system is optional until September 1, 2026, when it becomes required for license renewals.

What do providers need to do differently compared to prior renewal cycles?

After September 1, 2026, CME credits must be uploaded to CE Broker prior to physician license renewal. The LSOM Office of CME is now uploading individual credits for academic UTHSA physicians for internal LSOM CME activities (e.g., Grand Rounds, our LSOM CME-accredited conferences) from our tracking system to CE Broker, covering January 2026 through 30 days prior to the present month.  Any credits from outside activities and/or credits earned prior to January 1, 2026, must either be manually uploaded or uploaded by an accrediting body working with CE Broker.

My CME is tracked by several other organizations already. Is this system required?

Yes. To renew your Texas license, you will need to have your CME reported through your CE Broker account so the TMB can access it.

If a doctor is retiring or placing their license inactive, is CE Broker still required?

If you are retiring or placing your license in an inactive status, you will no longer need to report through CE Broker. However, if you plan to stay licensed (such as to do additional work or volunteer work), you will still need to use CE Broker to renew your license.

Does the CE cycle begin the day of your license renewal?

Your CE cycle is connected to your renewal cycle.

Will CE Broker audit our entries?

No. CE Broker provides a tool to report your hours. They do not have the authority to audit your entries, but they can help answer questions on how to report hours. Any audit of your hours would be conducted by TMB.

  • CME Reporting & Responsibility

How do I upload CME earned for 2025?

For information on how to upload your credits to CE Broker, please go to .

Will the ¸£ÀûÒ»ÇøÔÚÏß CME Office upload CME credits automatically to CE Broker?

The Office of CME is now uploading individual credits for our academic UTHSA physicians for internal LSOM CME activities (e.g., Grand Rounds, our LSOM CME-accredited conferences) from our tracking system to CE Broker, covering January 2026 through 30 days prior to the present month. (Thirty days are required due to how the Grand Rounds credits are reported monthly.)  Any credits from outside activities and/or credits earned prior to January 1, 2026, must either be manually uploaded or uploaded by an accrediting body working with CE Broker.

Do providers need to manually enter non-UTHSA CME activities?

Credits from outside activities and/or credits earned prior to January 1, 2026, must either be manually uploaded or uploaded by an accrediting body working with CE Broker. Please note that the LSOM Office of CME can only upload credits for our internal LSOM CME activities.

After creating a CE Broker account, is there anything else providers need to do?

Yes. You will need to do the following:

    • Upload any outside credits to CE Broker if it is needed for your licensure.
    • Upload LSOM credits you earned before January 1, 2026, if needed for your licensure.
    • Check your CE Broker account for LSOM CME credits earned after January 1, 2026.
  • CE Broker Account Linking

What if I already have an established CE Broker account — will it link correctly?

Your physician license number links your CME credits from the LSOM Office of CME and your CE Broker account. If the license number in your CE Broker account matches the one we have on file for you in our CME Tracker, your credits will be uploaded to your CE Broker account when we upload LSOM credits for activities.

Can I switch CE Broker account types later without losing my CME records?

You can only switch the CE Broker account type through an account upgrade. This will simply change your access and benefits within your existing account, rather than creating a secondary account.

  • CME Transcript & Data Synchronization

My CE appears complete in CE Broker, but my UT CME transcript does not reflect all my credits.

Your credits in CE Broker may look different from your LSOM CME transcript. LSOM transcripts typically include only LSOM-accredited activities unless the physician provides their outside credits to the CME Office website for inclusion in their transcript.

Can the CME Office verify my CME compliance status with TMB?

No. Individual physicians verify their compliance status with TMB.

Do I need to upload certificates for every CME entry I am self-reporting?

Yes. If you are self-reporting, a copy of the certificate or transcript needs to be uploaded to complete the process.

What if I no longer have the certificates?

Please contact your education providers. They may have those records in their system and can provide you with another copy as proof of completion.

If I have completed required trainings, like "Human Trafficking" or "Opioid Prescribing" in a previous licensing renewal cycle, will I have to document them during another renewal cycle?

Yes. If you self-report these credits, you will be required to have a certificate of completion. If the accredited educational provider reports your credit on your behalf, they do not have to attach the certificate of completion.

Can I upload documents or photos from a mobile device?

Yes. In the attachment section, click Browse, then you can either take a photo or browse your photo library.

What types of files can I upload to CE Broker?

You can upload PDFs and image files of your certificates to CE Broker.

Is there a place to upload an MOC certificate from a specific organization?

Yes. You can report it under the Additional Options section.

  • Board Certification & CME Compliance

I passed the ABIM exam in 2024 — does that satisfy TMB CME requirements?

To maintain your Texas State License, you will need to meet the requirements set forth by TMB. Please see the Quick Reference Table for more information on these requirements.

What should I do if my CME hours or compliance status appear incorrect?

Please contact CE Broker support for assistance (support@cebroker.com).

Are CME entries automatically approved once submitted?

When reporting your hours, you are attesting that they are already approved in the way you’ve reported them. As a result, they are immediately processed and posted to meet your requirements.

How can I tell whether a CME activity has already been reported?

If you can see a course within the Course History section of your account, and there is not a yellow warning triangle next to it, then it has been processed to your requirements.

Why are some CME accrediting bodies unavailable for my profession?

CE Broker's configurations are based on the board-specific laws and rules. If you continue to have issues, please reach out to CE Broker support (support@cebroker.com).

  • Technical Support & Access

Is delegate access available for physician accounts?

Delegate access is something CE Broker is working on to add as a feature in the future. For now, delegates must partner with the physician to gain access through their emailed code.

Is there a CE Broker mobile app?

CE Broker does have a mobile application for their services. The CE Broker website is fully optimized for mobile and can be accessed on any mobile device. Some features are only available on the website, though.
