����һ������ came close to its first bowl victory on Friday. The Roadrunners fell short at the Cure Bowl, but ����һ������ played a key role in keeping the athletes healthy and in the game. 

There is still much to be proud of - ����һ������ won back-to-back Conference USA championships for the first time in program history.  

“We are thrilled to experience another championship season with ����һ������ Athletics,” said Ken O. Kenneth-Nwosa, MD, the head team physician for ����һ������ Athletics. “We’re proud of this team and everything they accomplished.”

Despite all the wins, it’s been a stressful season for the ����һ������ sports medical team treating the athletes on (and off) the field, Kenneth-Nwosa said.  

����һ������ is the Official Healthcare Provider for ����һ������ Athletics.  That means orthopaedic and sports medicine providers from ����һ������ Physicians serve as the medical team for ����һ������ Athletics.

“This year was challenging with the number of injuries that we encountered,” Kenneth-Nwosa said. “But the resources that ����һ������ provided allowed us to evaluate, diagnose, treat and rehab in a timely fashion.”  

He added: “The head athletic trainer, Nik Turner, and our head orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Katherine Bartush, did an amazing job this year. We are excited about the upwards trajectory of ����һ������ Athletics and the promotion to the American Athletic Conference.”

Kenneth-Nwosa said the Roadrunners are prepared mentally and physically to continue their 10-game winning streak and will find a way to bring home a Bowl win  - a first for the Roadrunners - on Friday.
